🧑‍🎓 I am a PhD student from Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle (Paris), in the research lab CREW – Center for Research on the English-speaking World. I am also a certified teacher (agrégation) but I am currently exempt from teaching duties.
I am also the international coordinator of the “West-US” research hub of the Institut des Amériques. My office is currently located in the University of Texas at Austin. Based in Paris (France) and Austin (Texas), I work across transatlantic academic and research environments. Some of my missions include organizing scientific events related to voter behavior in the United States. Feel free to reach out regarding any project of this type.

🔬 My research focuses on voter behavior in the United States, more specifically in contexts of direct democracy (propositions and referenda). Some of my work aims to provide a theoretical framework to explain counter-intuitive voting outcomes. These are cases in which voters unexpectedly challenge polling predictions and reject referendums that seemingly align with their material interests. My research pays particular attention to the interaction of the different electoral behavior factors. These factors are distributed across three analytical levels: individual, group, and systemic/structural.

Some of my previous research also explored the role of knowledge and its instrumentalization in lobbying and legislative decision-making processes in the United States, with a focus on how (and whether) interest groups and scientific expertise shape debates on gun policy.

➡️ On this website, I will also share resources, insights on my research, the raw data collected and links to upcoming / recent events related to my work (conferences, publications, interventions, etc.)
